"The Night Is Dark And Full Of Terror" - The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers are a New York City based DJ duo consisting of Alex Pall and Rhett Bixler. The two met over three years ago at a concert in Brooklyn and have been inseparable ever since. They bonded over their love for music and the problem that nightlife was becoming stale and mundane. In order to fix said problem, the two began deejaying electro house music and throwing large pop up parties throughout the the city. With the success of their themed parties (Animal Mask, Mustache, and Sunglasses at Night) the two developed a steady following of fans and began to be booked regularly at clubs throughout the city.

Always being ahead of the curve, The Chainsmokers created dubstep and electro parties in NYC, and brought in performances of, then unknown, Kid Cudi, Steve Aoki, and Chromeo to their electro party at Mr. West Wednesday. As the gigs became more consistent and serious, the guys have seen themselves play at LIV in Miami, Set in Miami, Paradiso in Amsterdam, Roxbury in Los Angeles, Soldier Field in Chicago, Thekla in Bristol, Skybar in London, Villa in Ibiza, Abril and Catedral in Sevilla, Lavo in New York, Provocateur in New York, and Le Bain in New York.

Three years later, the duo currently hold residencies at NYC clubs like 1OAK, SL, Riff Raffs, SL East (Hamptons), South Pointe (Hamptons), and have shared nights with deejays like Calvin Harris, Avicii, Pete Tong, Mark Knight, Wolfgang Gartner, Max Vangeli, Steve Aoki, and Joachim Garraud. The Chainsmokers also made an official end of the year compilation mix for Armin Van Buuren's Napith record label. While maintaining a love for house music, the two also blend in disco, hip hop, funk, soul and rock into their sets and feel every room and crowd requires a different style and energy of music, and have spun for Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Lebron James, Usher, Ne-Yo, Drake, and more.
